# Carbon Nanotube Based Ridge Gap Resonator for 220–325 GHz

One-dimen­sion­al car­bon nanos­truc­tures have been known and fab­ri­cat­ed for more than a hun­dred years and were orig­i­nal­ly Mea­sure­ments on a car­bon nan­otube based ridge gap res­onator are pre­sent­ed in this paper. Car­bon nan­otubes are uti­lized as a base mate­r­i­al for rapid pro­to­typ­ing of gap wave­guide devices. Here it has been imple­ment­ed on a ridge gap res­onator for 220–325 GHz. The car­bon nan­otube based struc­ture is com­pared to a pre­vi­ous­ly fab­ri­cat­ed Si-based device and to simulations.
