# Further expansion of Smoltek’s patent portfolio in Japan

The cur­rent Japan patent cov­ers an aspect of essen­tial growth relat­ed method to enable grow­ing nanos­truc­tures on any sub­strate that is sen­si­tive to plas­ma envi­ron­ment to enable to grow e.g. car­bon nan­otubes, nanofibers, nanowires etc. with­out destroy­ing the sub­strate underneath.

Smoltek’s patent port­fo­lio now glob­al­ly com­pris­es 47 grant­ed patents.
