Smoltek takes the next step towards com­mer­cial­iza­tion – car­ries out rights issue of approx­i­mate­ly SEK 60 million

# Smoltek is facing a crucial phase in the company’s development. After several years of technology development and strategic partnerships, the company is now conducting a rights issue of approximately SEK 60 million to accelerate commercialization in two markets with strong structural growth: semiconductors and green hydrogen.

Smoltek devel­ops appli­ca­tions based on nan­otech­nol­o­gy to solve advanced mate­ri­als engi­neer­ing chal­lenges. Our patent-pro­tect­ed car­bon nan­otech­nol­o­gy rad­i­cal­ly increas­es the avail­able sur­face for chem­i­cal and elec­tri­cal process­es, enabling more com­pact, ener­gy-effi­cient, pow­er­ful and cost-effi­cient prod­ucts. Grow­ing nanos­truc­tures direct­ly on a sur­face can increase the con­tact area tens of thou­sands of times.

Smoltek can grow extreme­ly thin car­bon nanofibers in var­i­ous three-dimen­sion­al struc­tures that mul­ti­ply the address­able sur­face that can be coat­ed with dif­fer­ent mate­ri­als. By doing so, we enable the man­u­fac­tur­ing of mate­ri­als and com­po­nents that make appli­ca­tions such as prod­ucts, com­po­nents and devices bet­ter – much thin­ner, more pow­er­ful, more ener­gy-effi­cient and/​or a lot cheap­er to produce.
