EFECS is the Euro­pean Forum for Elec­tron­ic Com­po­nents and Sys­tems and is the main forum under CHIPS-JU. This meet­ing brings togeth­er indus­try lead­ers, pol­i­cy­mak­ers, researchers, and inno­va­tors to strength­en Europe’s strate­gic lead­er­ship in semi­con­duc­tor technology. 

At the event new project pro­pos­als (like CHIPMUNK) are pre­sent­ed, and new con­sor­tia start to form around the pro­pos­als. Next year’s Calls for pro­pos­als under CHIPS JU frame­work are announced in this forum. 

• Insight­ful pre­sen­ta­tions: Gain a com­pre­hen­sive out­look on the Chips JU pro­gram­me’s mis­sion, address­ing soci­etal and indus­tri­al chal­lenges through advanced chip technologies. 
• Valu­able net­work­ing: Cre­ate mean­ing­ful con­nec­tions with stake­hold­ers and the entire ECS com­mu­ni­ty, fos­ter­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion and innovation. 
• Strate­gic dis­cus­sions: Par­tic­i­pate in dis­cus­sions on rein­forc­ing the EU’s strate­gic auton­o­my in elec­tron­ic com­po­nents, sup­port­ing inno­va­tion, and enhanc­ing tech­no­log­i­cal capacity.
