Electrode Conformal Coating
The Electrode Conformal Coating family offer a method for depositing conformally coated catalyst support for the PTL (porous transport layer) that provide both high catalytic activity and additional corrosion protection
The Innovation: an electrode for water electrolyzers comprising an electrocatalyst layer, which in turn comprises a plurality of elongated nanostructures on a PTL (porous transport layer). The elongated nanostructures are coated with a conformal protective layer and a catalyst layer arranged on top of the that. This catalyst layer is in turn conformally coated with nanoparticles and serve all together as a catalyst support, enabling a more efficient use of catalyst materials providing both high catalytic activity and additional corrosion protection.
