License agreement for evaluation of CNF-MIM technology extended

Smoltek announces that the agreement signed with a leading capacitor manufacturer for technical and commercial evaluation of the company’s CNF-MIM technology has been further extended, to December 31. At the same time, the parties have initiated a concrete dialogue on a possible continuation of the collaboration, with a decision to be expected during the first quarter of 2021.

This spring, Smoltek announced two separate license agreements for technical and commercial evaluation of the company’s patented CNF-MIM technology for semiconductor applications. The evaluation projects that were then started during the spring have taken longer to complete than expected.

The license that was signed in March 2020 with one of the world’s largest capacitor manufacturers, which was previously announced to have been extended to the end of October, is now extended to the end of the year without any additional cost for the licensee. The formalisation of the agreement was time-consuming, but it has now been signed. The extension enables the parties to focus on the completion of the evaluation, while at the same time discussing a possible continuation of the collaboration.

“It is satisfying that we have now come to an agreement to extend this license agreement, so that we can complete the evaluation in a purposeful manner. When this is done, the licensee will be in an optimal position to decide on a possible continued collaboration to facilitate integration of our CNF-MIM technology in upcoming products,” says Ola Tiverman, President of the group company Smoltek Semi AB, which is in charge of licensing in the semiconductor industry.

Smoltek is also in a similar dialogue regarding a possible continuation of the collaboration with the licensee which has been granted an evaluation license valid until March 31, 2021. The company expects to be able to update on this collaboration during the second quarter of 2021.

Smoltek—from carbon nanofibers to mind-controlled robotic prostheses

Smoltek holds unique world patents for technologies that make material engineering on an atomic level possible. Smoltek has solutions that allow continued miniaturization and increased performance of semiconductors, contribute to carbon-free steel production and renewable energy storage, and enable mind control of robotic prostheses. This is a story of how Smoltek came to be.

License agreement for evaluation of CNF-MIM technology extended

Smoltek announces that the agreement signed with a global manufacturer of electronic components for technical and commercial evaluation of the company's CNF-MIM technology will be extended until the end of March 2021. In addition to further evaluation, the parties will also discuss the way forward after the evaluation, including a potential broadening of the collaboration.

Smoltek signs evaluation license agreement with leading passive components manufacturer

Smoltek announces that the company has signed yet another evaluation agreement, this time with a leading manufacturer of passive electronics components including capacitors. The agreement relates to an evaluation license where Smoltek's patented carbon nanofiber-based CNF-MIM technology is evaluated in a joint project. The order value for this first step amounts to approximately SEK 1 million and is intended to lead to a production license agreement in the next step.

Breaking barriers: The future

This is the third and last article in a series of three in which Smoltek founder and strategic advisor Shafiq Kabir share his personal thoughts on nanotechnology opportunities. In the previous two articles, he has addressed both the hype and the reality of carbon nanotechnology. In this last article, he looks into the future. He discusses how carbon nanotechnology will unleash the power of the internet of everything.

License agreement for evaluation of CNF-MIM technology extended

The evaluation license agreement that Smoltek signed in April 2020 with a global manufacturer of electronic components has been extended further. The work within this project is carried out by the subsidiary Smoltek Semi, whose main objective is to develop and license the manufacture of ultra-thin capacitors based on Smoltek's patent-protected carbon nanofiber technology.

Smoltek signs evaluation license agreement with leading capacitor manufacturer

Smoltek announces that the company has signed an evaluation agreement with one of the world’s largest capacitor manufacturers. The agreement concerns a project with a license for evaluation of Smoltek’s patented carbon nanofiber-based CNF-MIM technology. The intention is to replace the evaluation agreement with a production license agreement as a next step. The order value for this first step amounts to approximately SEK 1 million.

License agreement for evaluation of CNF-MIM technology extended

Smoltek announces that the license agreement, signed with a global manufacturer of electronic components for its technical and commercial evaluation of Smoltek’s capacitor technology, will be further extended until the end of August 2021. The extended joint project will continue with the aim of making it possible for the customer to enter into a commercial licensing agreement with Smoltek.
