The license agree­ment signed in April 2020 with a world-lead­ing man­u­fac­tur­er of pas­sive elec­tron­ic com­po­nents, includ­ing capac­i­tors, has pre­vi­ous­ly been extend­ed until March 2021. One of the rea­sons behind this exten­sion has been a spe­cif­ic tech­ni­cal chal­lenge that took longer than expect­ed to solve.

Anoth­er rea­son is that the ongo­ing pan­dem­ic sit­u­a­tion has affect­ed the time required for sev­er­al work process­es in the project. Smoltek has recent­ly suc­ceed­ed in deliv­er­ing very good results which have con­vinced the cus­tomer of the poten­tial for capac­i­tors based on Smoltek’s CNF-MIM capac­i­tor technology.

“We are now in a great posi­tion to final­ize this phase of the project accord­ing to their spec­i­fi­ca­tions,” Ola Tiver­man concludes.
