Smoltek is awarded a new patent – the first one of a new patent family called Discrete CNF-MIM. This innovation discloses a discrete capacitor component based on our CNF-MIM technology. This also brings our IP portfolio now to comprise 79 granted patents.

Today we have inaugurated the new in-house hydrogen laboratory. In these facilities equipped with advanced instruments and tools the R&D team can carry out performance measurement and long-term tests of electrolyzer cells, and will also be able to manufacture test cells.

Smoltek has achieved very successful test results of the company’s disruptive cell material for PEM electrolysers. Prototypes with only 0.5 mg of iridium per square centimeter produce as much hydrogen as a standard material with 2.5 mg of iridium per square centimeter.

In mid-April, the management team of Smoltek Semi visited Taiwan for meetings and workshops with our collaboration partner YAGEO. Together, we also made a series of meetings with intended customers for Smotek’s ultra-thin CNF-MIM capacitors.
