Founder and current CIO shifts role in the company
Smoltek announces that the company’s founder and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) Shafiq Kabir will leave the CIO position on January 22, 2021 to instead take on a role as a senior advisor and active shareholder in the company.
Smoltek does not expect that Shafiq Kabir’s transition to a new role will affect the company’s day-to-day business, as Smoltek has built a broad knowledge base around its technology platform from research and development to commercialization and licensing.
The company’s CNF-MIM technology for capacitors to the semiconductor industry is currently being evaluated by large potential commercial partners, and the work related to further development, financing, collaboration and licensing in new application areas is conducted in the wholly-owned subsidiary Smoltek Innovation AB with assistance from the strategic advisory partner DC Advisory.
“Smoltek’s board and management are grateful for the successful contributions of Shafiq Kabir as founder and CIO of Smoltek, and we look forward to a continued fruitful collaboration as he transitions into an advisory role. Both parties view this step as a natural part of Smoltek’s development from being a primarily innovation-driven company to today’s primary focus on establishing us as an innovative provider to the semiconductor industry, while we at the same time broaden the further development of our technology platform to new application areas,”
says Peter Augustsson, chairman of Smoltek Nanotech Holding AB.
