In September, Smoltek Semi attended ECOC 2026, with the aim to evaluate the market potential of the company’s ultra-thin CNF-MIM capacitors within optical communication applications.

ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communication) is Europe’s leading conference and exhibition for optical communication and photonics, where researchers, technology companies, and industry leaders gather to present new technologies and discuss the future of optical communication systems.

“We met with players in optical components, integration, and advanced packaging, among others, to examine the types of capacitors they currently use, their specifications, and the opportunities for integrating Smoltek’s extremely thin capacitors closer to the active circuits in optical and electronic components.”
