Smoltek negotiate CNF-MIM demo project

Smoltek nego­ti­ates with Imec on an indus­tri­al­ly com­pat­i­ble process demon­stra­tion for CNF-MIM.

Smoltek has entered into nego­ti­a­tions with Imec, the world-lead­ing research insti­tute, on demo pro­duc­tion of CNF-MIM capac­i­tors in indus­tri­al­ly com­pat­i­ble CMOS for­mat, so-called 300mm format.

- Imec is a unique play­er with a com­plete and indus­tri­al­ly com­pat­i­ble 300mm line, under one roof. They also have expe­ri­ence in the field of car­bon nan­otech­nol­o­gy, which we see as an added strength, says Anders Johans­son, CEO of Smoltek.

- This nego­ti­a­tion is entire­ly in line with what we com­mu­ni­cat­ed in our prospec­tus for the on-going share issue, to car­ry out demo pro­duc­tion of CMF-MIM capac­i­tors in an indus­tri­al­ly com­pat­i­ble full-scale for­mat environment.

An agree­ment with Imec gives Smoltek an exter­nal part­ner for the ver­i­fi­ca­tion of the tech­nol­o­gy, beyond its own lab envi­ron­ment, to present to pos­si­ble licensees. 300mm is the process for­mat that is the indus­try stan­dard for high vol­ume pro­duc­tion of CMOS-based semiconductors.

Smoltek initiates MoU-negotiations for joint development of ultra-thin capacitors

Smoltek and the subsidiary Smoltek Semi has extended its evaluation license agreement with a global manufacturer of passive components. The parties will also define and agree upon the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding for the joint development of an industrial mass-production process for Smoltek’s ultra-thin carbon nanofiber capacitors.

License agreement for evaluation of CNF-MIM technology extended

Smoltek announces that the agreement signed with a global manufacturer of electronic components for technical and commercial evaluation of the company's CNF-MIM technology will be extended until the end of March 2021. In addition to further evaluation, the parties will also discuss the way forward after the evaluation, including a potential broadening of the collaboration.

Vinnova project completed according to plan

The announced project within the framework of Vinnova's program "Smarter electronic systems” has been completed according to plan. Smoltek will now continue the work to achieve integration of CNF-MIM capacitors on 200 and 300 mm wafers.
