Smoltek recruits Farzan Ghavanini as new CTO
Smoltek has recruited Farzan Ghavanini as new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who will assume the position on April 1 2022. He will then succeed Peter Enoksson, who has been acting CTO for Smoltek since 20 September 2021.
Smoltek patent No. 70 now granted
Smoltek has yet another patent granted. This time in Taiwan. The patent is related to the Assembly platform patent family in the direction of interconnects. This also makes our patent portfolio to now comprise 70 granted patents.

Smoltek’s IP footprint relating to interposers keeps growing. This new Chinese patent is covering CNF-MIM capacitor applications on interposers. This also brings our patent portfolio to now comprise 69 granted patents.

Smoltek has been granted three new patents since the start of the year. The patents are related to three different families: Interconnects, Assembly platform and Compact energy storage interposer. This makes our patent portfolio to now comprise 68 granted patents in total.

Smoltek has yet another patent granted. This time in the US. The patent is related to the Assembly platform patent family in the direction of interconnects. This also makes our patent portfolio to now comprise 65 granted patents.

Smoltek has yet another patent granted. This time in India. The patent is related to the growth process of nanostructures and it makes the Catalyst diffusion patent family complete.
Founder and current CIO shifts role in the company
Smoltek announces that the company’s founder and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) Shafiq Kabir will leave the CIO position on January 22, 2021 to instead take on a role as a senior advisor and active shareholder in the company.

Helplayer IP-family expands with new granted patent
The constantly expanding Smoltek IP-portfolio is divided into several different patent families. One of them is named Helplayer, a method to protect the underlaying materials when growing nanostructures on a given surface. To this family we can add another patent number recently granted.
