Smoltek signs JDA with Yageo to commercialize discrete capacitors
The group company Smoltek Semi has signed a joint development agreement (JDA) with a subsidiary of the global electronic component company Yageo group to commercialize a silicon based carbon nanofiber discrete capacitor.

License agreement for evaluation of CNF-MIM technology extended
The evaluation license agreement that Smoltek signed in April 2020 with a global manufacturer of electronic components has been extended further. The work within this project is carried out by the subsidiary Smoltek Semi, whose main objective is to develop and license the manufacture of ultra-thin capacitors based on Smoltek's patent-protected carbon nanofiber technology.
Operational update on the activities in Smoltek Semi
A main goal for Smoltek Semi is to develop an industrial process for mass production of discrete CNF-MIM capacitors at contract manufacturers (foundry), including a specially designed machine for large-scale production of carbon nanofibers.

Smoltek announces that the license agreement, signed with a global manufacturer of electronic components for its technical and commercial evaluation of Smoltek’s capacitor technology, will be further extended until the end of August 2021. The extended joint project will continue with the aim of making it possible for the customer to enter into a commercial licensing agreement with Smoltek.
Vinnova project completed according to plan
The announced project within the framework of Vinnova's program "Smarter electronic systems” has been completed according to plan. Smoltek will now continue the work to achieve integration of CNF-MIM capacitors on 200 and 300 mm wafers.
Smoltek demonstrates the thinnest capacitor in the world
Smoltek has developed the world's thinnest capacitor. The company is now demonstrating practically what it has previously claimed by producing a prototype of a CNF-MIM capacitor with a total height of just under 40 micrometers.

Smoltek announces that the agreement signed with a leading capacitor manufacturer for technical and commercial evaluation of the company’s CNF-MIM technology has been further extended, to December 31.
